ABOUT US

We are world renowned publishers of definitive books on antiques and decorative arts. All are beautifully illustrated and most are published in hardback. In addition to our books, we also publish Antique Collecting Magazine and sell many titles from selected publishers whose range complements our own.

Antique Collectors' Club celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2006. We believe that throughout our 40+ years we have refined the art of publishing to the point where our books are both scholarly and informative but still eminently readable by collectors at all levels.
In the beginning we concentrated mainly on British art, antiques and architecture and this remains our core subject area. However, we have also expanded into the realms of decorative arts, fashion, gardening and nature. Many of our books have become recognised as standard works of reference and indeed, the first book we published British Antique Furniture - Price Guide and Reasons for Values has never been out of print and is now in its 5th edition.

Antique Collecting magazine - our longest-running publication - remains undiminished in its popularity. Each issue comments on a wide compass of subjects within the antiques sphere, with at least one subject per issue being particularly vigorously scrutinised. Authors are specialists in their field, often auctioneers or dealers and all have a first-rate knowledge and keen interest in their subjects. Above all, the magazine provides instructive and interesting information in an impartial and honest manner. Antique Collecting magazine is published ten times a year and is available on subscription only. Further information on Antique Collecting magazine

Naturally, over more than 40 years the company has grown and had to relocate from time to time but always stayed close to its roots near the beautiful Suffolk coast. Several members of our staff have been with the company since the very early days, and indeed our Managing Director, Diana Steel, is one of the original founders of the company. We feel that this tradition is reflected in the maintained high quality and carefully chosen subject matter of the books we publish now.
